OB/GYN

Bel Air & Havre de Grace

Dr. Jon Bellantoni attended Yale University before graduating from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Johns Hopkins and is board certified in the specialty.

In 1988, Dr. Bellantoni joined the practice founded by his father, Dr. Leopold Bellantoni, and Dr. John Carriere, and the group has grown into what is now Susquehanna OB/GYN under his management. Dr. Bellantoni has a special focus in menopause issues, osteoporosis, irregular bleeding, in-office surgeries, preconception counseling, as well as healthcare reform and medical quality issues. A two-time recipient of Baltimore magazine’s Top Doc award, he says of his work, “The practice of medicine is the art of applying scientific principles to one person at a time. It should be both high-tech and personal.”

A resident of Harford County for 50 years, Dr. Bellantoni lives with his wife and three daughters in Bel Air, Maryland. He is active in the community and currently serves on the boards of the Maryland Conservatory of Music and Birthright, and he is a past board member of his alma mater, The John Carroll School.
